My name is Sarah and I am a 21 year old student at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. I am currently studying abroad in Madrid, Spain and am in the process of learning Spanish. I love traveling and learning about new cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing for multiple reasons. First, I am a college student looking to travel, and without a substantial income, I need to be somewhat cheap. Additionally, staying with locals in places that I have never been is a good opportunity to learn more about the culture and the people.

After I finish my program in Madrid I am going to be spending a month and a half traveling around Europe with my brother and my cousin.

Interests

I'm very interested in culture, which is one reason that I enjoy traveling. I love language studies, and after Spanish I would like to study Hebrew and maybe move to Israel. I enjoy being outside and playing sports. When I have free time I like watching Netflix and reading.

I basically like all kinds of music. My favorite movie is The Dark Knight and my favorite book is Sarah's Key.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a week in Morocco and rode camels in the Sahara Desert. It was truly an amazing experience to spend time in a country with a culture so different than what I'm accustomed to.
