Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to experience the people of the place I would like to stay and understand their way of life. I think as someone from the UK a lot of people have many questions about the UK as we are so diverse, so would love to answer questions and help people understand the country more. I am also a passionate environmentalist and conservationist and love to meet likewise people. I love all sorts of music and willing to listen to different musical styles from different countries and cultures. Happy to be shown the ways of someone else's musical world. And obviously not having to spend ridiculous amounts of money to stay in a characterless room that hotels are these days. I want to meet people to learn more about their country.

As an environmentalist I like to try to make people aware of environmental and animal welfare issues that they would not normally consider.
I would love to learn more about socio-economics and politics, different types of music, paleontology and cosmology.
Sharing musical favourites is fascinating to me so I am up for finding out what different hosts like to listen to. I love to discover new music through other people!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Having travelled quite a bit I may be able to share stories and general knowledge on different places. Potentially share ideas on good places to visit for wildlife. I like to drink red wine and real ale, so would be nice to share a few drinks!
