I'm 42, but I don't feel 42... I'm not married, independent, hard working and driven, non-judgmental of others life choices, I have no interest in petty disagreements and believe honesty is always the best policy!! I love music...if I had a choice of eating or buying concert tickets, the show would win everytime!! I love exploring new places, meeting new people and getting to know and understand different ways of life. I believe we are all on our own journey but we need each other, if not for love, definitely for knowledge. I think travel is important not only to understand the world at large but to understand ourselves individually. We live in such a fast world that I believe the most important moments I've had have been when I've allowed the time to slow a bit, enough that I'm able to breathe in the experience and cherish it!!! This is what I am looking for when I travel, the moments that connect us even if/though we're oceans away....

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I am hoping to experience the places I go with a local. Someone who can point me to the not so popular or touristy destinations. I'm from a very touristy part of the Pacific Northwest and understand the gifts and downfalls of living in such an area and would like to not leave the same impression as some of the tourists I have had the pleasure of having to deal with. Don't get me wrong, I am extremely grateful for the great things that they bring and I have meet some amazing people from all over, but I don't want to forget that people actually live where I'm visiting, and I would like to be educated on what to do and what not to do to stay out of the jerk tourist group!!! I really really want to see Switzerland and Italy through the eyes of the Swiss and the Italians and make sure that I am respecting your ways and customs. This is why I am on Couchsurfing ... I'd also like to show people that not all Americans are jerks!!! Lol Most of us, the majority actually, are just regular, loving, hard working people who want nothing more than to be able to love and support our friends and family and there isn't an ounce of hate or malice in my heart, or the hearts of the majority of this country.
