Hi all,

My name is Sarah, I am 18 and from Australia (I've lived in Sydney, Canberra and on the Sunshine Coast).

I finished high school last year (2014) and am taking a gap year before I go to university next year - as well as working to save a bit of money, I am also lucky enough to do a bit of travel this year.

I am very curious about the world and enjoy meeting new people. I just want to experience as much as I can, make a little bit of a difference and also enjoy myself while I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing to meet new people and experience different cultures. When I visit somewhere I want to interact with the locals and see more than just the tourist spots.

Interests

My interests are quite varied and include art (I mainly draw, but have also dabbled in charcoal, pastels, watercolours and photography), taekwondo, maths/science, music, reading and comedy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I want to experience as much as possible in this short life we are given and I have been very lucky to have had so many opportunities to do amazing things already. One amazing thing I have done was travel to a small village in Papua New Guinea and help continue to improve the village school, library and medical centre.
