An outgoing, generally happy person, I grew up in the midwest, studied in the northeast, lived in Germany for a year, traveled around Europe a bit, worked and lived in Boston for over 5 years -loved many aspects of my life there but knew something was missing and didn't want to wait to travel anymore. Got a working holiday visa and headed to New Zealand!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love getting a true feel for a place through locals - a way to experience (or at least get a bit of insight into) the day-to-day life and culture of a town/city/country. I'm also always interested in meeting fellow travelers and hearing their stories. I've met the most amazing people on my travels, from small town families to lifetime sailors to true vagabonds--and my experiences with them are what have made my time abroad so memorable.

Interests

I love being outdoors! And playing soccer. Traveling, hiking, running, biking, climbing, wandering, pondering, discovering... Trying new things, meeting like-minded people from all over the world, laughing, reading, exploring, enjoying nature...
Oh and Im a big fan of big dogs-cant wait to get one (or two) when my lifestyle is fitting.

From the outside perspective, said fuck it and quit my promising job/career to solo travel around New Zealand with no set plans, no agenda...
