Couch Surfing Rookie!!

I'm a recent college graduate. I majored in Communication and have a passion for all kinds of writing, especially song writing. While I'm in between jobs at the moment, I'm always looking for any and every opportunity to earn a living but also enjoy every day, within a modest budget. I make it my goal in life to constantly grow in wisdom and happiness. I grew up in South Carolina, but I've recently moved to the New England area, which is very different from what I'm use to, but quite a refreshing change. I'll be looking to use couch surfing while traveling with my long-term boyfriend, who is a submariner in the Navy. He is kind and laid-back and we share many interests.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Making connections with new people makes me so happy--finding similarities and learning new things based on differences. When I've traveled before, I've quickly realized that the most rewarding experiences come to be in situations where one is immersed in the culture. Through couchsurfing I hope to get the most rich and real traveling experience possible, and make friends in the process.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is a tough one...

Favorite artists: Alt-J, Coldplay, Bon Iver, but honestly the list goes on and on.

Favorite Movies: Typically I have awful taste in movies and just cling to RomComs that make me smile (The Notebook, 10 Things I hate about you, etc.) but my absolute favorite movie is probably Good Will Hunting.

Favorite Books: I really like John Green, but I can also really appreciate the classics (Tess of the D'ubervilles by Thomas Hardy, The Great Gatsby, etc.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Studied Abroad at University of Groningen in the Netherlands! So many of my favorite memories come from those 5 months of my life.

I can at least teach basic guitar!
