Hi!
I am Sarah, a 24-year old vet student in my last year of studies, living in Utrecht. I still have to discover more about CS! At the moment I am finishing my research project in Rotterdam, after which I will start an elective course in Utrecht again, about development aid. Very much looking forward to that! And then in May, I will go deliver lambs in Norway, together with my boyfriend Louis :-)

I love animals, so if you have a cat or dog at home, that is an absolute PRE and I will give it lots of cuddles and attention.

For the rest I like to eat vegetarian, and do that when I cook by myself. However, if you are a meat lover I don't mind to join you for a hamburger and I can really enjoy a good cevapcici.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find it great to travel and meet new people! Last years I met so many great people, who were so kind to me. It would be great to return the favor :-)

I already had a profile on CS, but didn't really use it a lot. A few weeks ago (February 2016:-) I read a great book, it is called Seize your moments, and this inspired me to become more active on CS. It is about a girl, Janne, who traveled the world, mainly through CS, and asked people she met if they experienced a beautiful moment in the last week. 3500 people shared their moment, and then she took a picture of this person and their drawing. I found it such a positive mindset, and it is interesting how she showed that everybody has his or her own story of life and something valuable to learn you. Now sometimes when I have a beautiful moment, I feel like I should draw it. It makes you enjoy it even more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In feb 2015 I went with a friend to Malawi for 3 weeks, to give a training to 15 Community Animal Health Workers. Our motto is: Healthy animals, healthy people. We had an amazing time, it was so nice to see how people were learning, and be part of the group.
