About Me

Seeker, thinker, traveler, hungry for knowledge and new impressions, trying to figure out life but at the same time practicing to live life through my heart and intuition more than through my busy mind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First of all to meet new people with the same traveler's mindset of openness and with different and interesting experiences and views on life they would like to share with me. I would also like to try to couch surf myself during my next trips.

Interests

Try new things, learn new things, reading, meet people, see new places. This is what makes me feel fully alive. I guess doing the things we love makes us fully present and that's why we feel alive doing them.

Moving, exercising and workout is an important part of my life and my favorite activities are outdoors - trail running, cycling and skiing. And of course dancing which is just joyful!

I also love music - listening, playing, singing, going to concerts, dancing and so on. I think music connects people and I use my Spotify account all day to listen to, share and discover new music.

Other things I like is creativity, art, painting, movies, culture, spiritual and personal growth, discussions about politics, feminism, philosophy, spirituality, buddhism, mindfulness, meditation, experiencing nature, hiking, climbing, forest, ocean, mountains, the beauty of nature. This is also why I am very passionate about the environment.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like so many different kinds of music, for example EDM, electro, deep house, soul, 60s pop and rock, indie pop, indie rock, jazz, classical, classic piano, sertanejo, bossa nova, reaggeton, singer songwriters, folk etc etc etc.

Movies I like:
*Fight Club (no explanation needed)
*The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (just make your life into the life you want to have)
*Whiplash (awesome music and about working really hard for your dream)
*Tracks (doing what you dream of despite what everyone else says)
*Gravity (female engineer in space - hellooo how cool is that??)
*The Martian (another engineer in space who is sciencing his way back to the Earth)

Books I recommend (find me on Goodreads and I can give you a full list):
*The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle - my favorite book which I am always in the process of reading. I always learn something from this book!
*The Wisdom of Insecurity: A Message For An Age of Anxiety by Alan W. Watts - the best spiritual and philosophical book I've ever read, it blew my mind many times.
*The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer - another philosophical book that completely blew my mind.
*Tao Te Ching translated by Stephen Mitchell - an amazing treasure of wisdom.
*Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg - I recommend this book to everyone. It's about why there are not so many women in top management and what is needed to change that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stayed in a lodge in the Brazilian Amazon jungle during 3 days and had an amazing experience of true beauty in nature and I saw caymans, monkeys and pink dolphins.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: What I have learnt and experienced so far in my life and my reflections about it.
Learn: Everything else! Something from your life experience.
Share: Some of my favorite quotes:

Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.
Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.

"What is success?
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate the beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded!" -- Ralph Waldo Emerson
