ABOUT ME

Hey! My name is Harper and I am a Political Science major at the University of Florida. I'm working on minors in environmental science, innovation, and business administration. I have lived in Florida all of my life and ever since I started traveling I can't stop. My favorite places I've been so far are New Orleans, LA and Montreal, Quebec. I enjoy conversing, whether it be about art, politics, or religion, I just like to discuss an array of subjects. I love the beach; the smell of the sand and the salt water are the smells of home for me. I enjoy going out, whether it be to a community play, to grab coffee, or to a local watering hole. I am a part of the Facebook generation, but I feel like social media sucks away your time. I'm partly a vegetarian. I eat vegetarian at home but if I'm out and served meat, I'll eat it. I enjoy being spontaneous and learning about local culture.

PHILOSOPHY

Try really hard, every day. Do what you want to do, don't follow the path laid out for you, unless you want to. Bad things happen in life, but they make you stronger if you are able to learn from them. How one handles difficult situations often defines who they are. Everything is connected and every thing you do affects some one or something.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing to travel the world and meet people from all walks of life and points of view. I have couch surfed once before on a trip to Quebec. I couch surfed in Montreal and I had a great time.

兴趣

I love to swim. I like writing as well, but I don't do it often enough. I'm very interested in the subject of sustainability and I love learning about how different countries and cultures have addressed the issue.
