Hi! I am a student in the United States that loves to travel, but I often find it very difficult to go overseas due to money. I have been to Germany in summer 2017, and I am going to Nicaragua in March for a medical mission trip and Barcelona in May for personal travel. Traveling in the United States is also somewhat difficult as plane tickets are often expensive, but I have been to NYC, Washington DC, up and around the Eastern Coast of the United States. I am majoring in Nutrition and Dietetics with a minor in Chemistry, and I hope to teach others about importance of healthy lifestyle habits in order to live a happier and more enjoyable life. I live in the mountains of North Carolina and love spending time outside in nature and hiking, swimming, going to the park, etc. I also love to go to local concerts since I live in a small mountain town, and there are always college bands playing at local venues and bars.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am not looking to stay with anyone, but to make friends in the Barcelona area so me and my two friends will have some friendly faces when we travel abroad. I would love to make a few friends before going who can help me practice Spanish and give suggestions about things to do in Barcelona, as well as what to expect. If you are looking to simply make a friend and possibly meet up in May between the 16th-30th while in Spain. Me and my friends are all very friendly and love experiencing new things that are not commonly found in the United States. I also would love suggestions for cheap day trips or unique places and things to do that tourists are not aware of.
