My name is Sarah and I am 22 years old. I am living in Vienna where I am currently studying at the University of Business and Economics. Especially, my exchange semester in Vancouver made me of aware of the immense value of getting to know different countries and cultures. Couchsurfing is a great way to meet locals and to experience a city or country in a different way than just as a normal tourist! Whether it is an interesting museum or a nice cafe around the corner that I must not miss - I am thankful for any tips to get to know the cultures and people of the city I am visiting and to receive first-hand information!

Besides traveling, I love sports and nature - in the best case, those two things combined. One of my greatest passions is mountain climbing, and Austria provides perfect opportunities for this hobby. Not far from my home town, we have many nice mountains with awesome views on several lakes. Even though I am deeply in love with the big city, I now and then need to immerse myself in the wild nature to forget all the stress from busy Vienna and to calm down again.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

The most amazing thing that I have experienced when traveling was definitely Mauna Kea on Big Island, Hawaii - this is the volcano where several NASA observatories are positioned. So you can probably guess how the night sky looked like ;) ...I can promise, I have never seen a more beautiful thing in life! Will never forget this moment that I could experience with one of my best friends.
