Hello, I'm Sarah, I have 25 years old and I'm from France. I study in Montpellier Business School in South of France and as part of my Master Degree i have the opportunity to do my exchange year abroad.

I had many choices between several destinations but I chose China because I wanted to discover Asia for a long time and I also want to experience new cultures and get out of my comfort zone. So I'm currently living in Kunming, in Yunnan Province. I realize how lucky I am to be in China so I want to take full advantage of being abroad by traveling as far as possible.

Few weeks ago was the first time i went with my backpack explore the Yunnan Province and travel alone in Yuanyang rice terraces. I was really afraid being alone during 5 days and didn't know if I was capable to dot it but in fact it was an amazing experience. I loved to be responsible of myself and manage on my own my trip, I had meet other backpackers during this trip and we shared a lot.

I also traveled to Dali, Xi'an and Lijiang.

That's why I decide to travel again. I stay in China until June 2017 so I expect to travel in HK, Beijing, Shanghai, Shangri-La, Zhangjiajie (the avatar mountains).
I also had two months of vacations during the winter break so i went to Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard many people talking about Couchsurfing and I have a friend who experiment it during her trip to Japan and she loved it so i decided it was time to try it!

I hope by this way meet other foreigners other cultures and share with them, discover the city by their eyes and their local point of view.
