Overview
About Me
I work as the curator of my own antiquing/oddities shop which leads me to travel often to seek out unique items.
Currently working on several books (writing and illustrating) and am always picking up new hobbies and interests which consume the majority of my time(learning violin at the moment). Idle hands. I have also created a modest amount of art for album covers, magazines, books and have been featured in several large exhibitions.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As much as I enjoy my solitude, I feel the money wasted on accommodations is better put to use in other ways.
Also, since almost all my traveling is for work, I am out working most of the day.

Music, Movies, and Books
My musical interests are somewhat eclectic:
neofolk, dark ambient, baroque, 60's psych, 70's hard rock and proto-metal, krautrock, 80's death metal, first wave black metal, post-punk, deathrock, anything avante-garde or experimental.
I don't download music, but actually still buy albums on vinyl (to those that care).
Bands/musicians I often have on rotation: Moon Lay Hidden Beneath A Cloud, Paul Chain, Swans, Leonard Cohen, Sam Gopal, Sir Lord Baltimore, Ironclaw, Torr, Root, Mystifier, Order From Chaos, Witchfinder General, Kate Bush, Sisters of Mercy, Diamanda Galas.
I watch a great deal of movies and have a long-standing infatuation with film, mostly 1960's/70's horror and cult film. For example,
Psychomania (1971)
The Devils (Ken Russell, 1971)
The Holy Mountain (Alexandro Jodorowsky, 1973)
Phantasm (1979)
Valerie and Her Week of Wonders (1970)
The Devil Rides out (1968)
The Wicker Man (1973)
Alraune (H.H. Ewers, 1911)
The Fiery Angel (Valery Bryusov, 1908)
The Devil's Elixirs (E.T.A. Hoffmann, 1815)
Maldoror (Comte de Lautréamont 1869)
The Story of the Eye (Georges Bataille 1928)
..would fall among some of my favorite fiction books. I also own an -extensive- library dedicated mostly to esotericism and folklore.
