No, but seriously--I couldn't have scripted my life better. Grow up in a town smaller than some high schools: Check. Become interested in acting and writing: Check. Go to Hollywood and make it big: In progress. I can share all those stories when I meet you.

Seriously though; I read. I write. I act. I watch and listen to the world and the people in it, because the details create everything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because I would like to travel and see places as a semi-local before the demon of student debt comes for my soul, yet do not have bundles of cash to spend on travel. Hence the student debt.

Music, Movies, and Books

Where does the list begin? Or end?

Musical tastes are a little scattered. Most peoples' are, I've found. Panic! At the Disco springs to mind. So does Blackmore's Night. The new musical Hamilton is a band wagon I have proudly jumped on. Lily Allen is great fun. So is Rosemary Clooney. And Within Temptation. Pretty much anything save R&B and Rap.

My movie choices go a bit farther back. Think the "Thin Man" series with William Powell and Myrna Loy. Also the "On the Road" series with Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. Then again, I'm also a Disney/Pixar child. I am fairly ignorant of modern films, as my increasingly frustrated friends can attest. This applies to TV as well, though if you set me in front of a Star Trek or Doctor Who episode you will win my thanks.

BOOKS. ALL THE BOOKS. Well, maybe not all. Lots of books. Terry Pratchett is my very favorite author, followed closely by Scarlett Thomas. Kurt Vonnegut is great for those gray days. I read Mental Floss magazine regularly, and my school has exposed me to several playwrights. Though I haven't a favorite as of yet, if you mention one it's highly probable I've read something by them.

Podcasts aren't listed, but that's okay because I only listen to the one. Welcome to Night Vale. It has captured my third eye, gripped me by the tentacles, and wrapped me in its inescapable and terrifying embrace.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Intelligent discourse and more listening than you might be comfortable with; I will ask as many questions as I answer. I am able to provide insight into the strange world of the Hollywood acting student. Though my current knowledge is a bit limited, I am willing to share the contents of my mini-apothecary with any host family to assist with minor aches and pains.
