ABOUT ME

I've studied Coastal and Marine Management in Iceland, Ísafjördur. That's where I started to use couchsurfing. My roommates and I offered our couches to host people that were so brave to make it to the Westfjords ;-) I really enjoyed hosting people and I met a lot of interesting people. Last autumn I went back to Germany to finish writing my thesis and unfortunately I was/am not able to host people at the moment. But I am happy to show people around or meet up for a coffee :-)
This June I am going to travel around Canada and then I will start using couchsurfing more actively again :-)

I am currently back in my home province Saarland in Germany. Even though I can't offer any couch to surf on at the moment, I would be happy to meet up with people to have a coffee or show you around :-)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've heard of couchsurfing a few years ago but was a bit sceptical about the whole thing. My room mates in Iceland (where I studied) had already used couchsurfing and we started offering our living room for couchsurfers. I was amazed about the interesting and great people we met and hosted, so I started using couchsurfing as well. I just love the idea about meeting people from all over the world :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only started with couchsurfing last year while I was in Iceland. We regularly hosted people in our house in Ísafjördur and I enjoyed those experiences. Since we had a big living room, we were able to host groups (of 4 or 5) and this was really fun :-) So far I haven't surfed on a couch myself.

Intereses

Algo increíble que he hecho

Last year, the rescue team in Ísafjörður had a trial session to practice rescueing people in avalanches. I offered to play a victim and therefore we were buried under the snow (for almost an hour, it was freezing cold) and the rescue team had to find us.

I love learning languages and I can also teach German or French.
