About Me

I'm a twenty year old german girl and I am studying law with an emphasis on international law.
As I love to travel, live new experiences and meet new interesting people from all over the world, I try to combine my studies with being abroad as often as it is possible.
That’s why I find myself in a road trip through out Canada at the moment, after which I'll be in Montréal doing an internship with a law firm focusing on international human rights and immigration law.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It all started when I went on a trip through the US with a good friend. Our intention was not just to explore the country like “tourists” but we wanted to meet new people and see great places that may only be known by locals.
We then surfed on couches from the west to the east of the US and we could not have asked for a more exciting time! We not only passed by places we would have never found on the map without the network of Couchsurfing (thanks to Jeff and Rebecca from Olustee who wrote to us) but we also experienced the country from the view of nationals!

Music, Movies, and Books

I personally have very broad tastes in films and music. Therefore I would be happy to learn more about anything you have to recommend.
My favorite author at the moment is Ferdinand von Schirach who writes about his experiences as a criminal defendant. He really leaded me to question the notion of guilt and the social perception of convicted criminals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I participated in a students exchange to Canada. In my exchange partner I found the best travel partner one can ask for and since then we already travelled through Europe and the US. Currently we are on a road trip, exploring the eastern part of Canada.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am really interested in the legal and political systems. Therefore I would be happy to share the knowledge I gained through out my law studies and my internships (e.g. in the German Bundestag) with the people I meet. In exchange I would be very curious to hear about the political and judicial circumstances of your country and comparing their differences with the ones existing in Germany.

What I Can Share with Hosts

To study law I moved from Bonn to Münster (I currently have trouble updating this information in my profile). Please take this into account when contacting me.
As I am sharing a lovely home with a friend of mine I am currently not able no host anyone. But I will be happy to meet couch surfers passing by Münster and to show them the beautiful spots the city offers. Maybe we can even explore the city together as there are still many places I have yet to see.
