About Me

I'm a 23 year old who is passionate about hiking and travel. I grew up in a cozy town on California's central coast, while visiting the mountains regularly. I moved to Portland, Oregon for a year, and now find myself living in a tiny town in Humboldt County, California, where I'm surrounded by redwood old growth forests. I eagerly seek out new places, people, and plates to fulfill my wanderlust.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to visit cities and meet the locals. In the woods, this is easily accomplished at campgrounds, but the city is a horse of another color. I'm grateful for this online resource to bridge the gap!

Interests

Climbing, nature documentaries, art museums, the ocean, avocados, music, philosophy... Puns, dogs, Thai food, and music festivals are some of my greatest pleasures in life!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love folk, bluegrass, blues, and world music. But I'll listen to pretty much anything. :)

My favorite movies are probably Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid, Good Will Hunting, the Princess Bride, and Finding Nemo.

My favorite books are Eva Luna, Be Here Now, and Lafcadio. I love travel diaries and adventure stories.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a little geology, ecology, tie-dying, English grammar, and probably some other miscellaneous skills.

I'd like to learn language scraps, stories, and new recipes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Delicious healthful meals, engaging conversation, and passionate stories about outdoor excursions.
