Overview
About Me
First of all, I should mention: I don’t live alone — I share the flat with my girlfriend, Pauline.
Since this Couchsurfing profile existed before we moved in together, it’s still under my name. Just so you know!
My friends would probably describe me as open-minded, charming, and funny - maybe a bit stubborn at times, but always willing to compromise, because it’s important to me to show respect for other people’s wishes and feelings.
Pauline is a physiotherapist and a passionate volleyball player — she plays in a local club and really enjoys it.
For both of us, deep and meaningful conversations are just as important as being silly and goofing around!
We’re not much of party people, which means we rarely drink alcohol and don’t enjoy getting drunk. Still, we do sometimes appreciate a glass of wine or a cold beer when the mood is right.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a wonderful way to meet new people, and to allow more connection with those from everywhere around the world!
Interests
I’m someone who loves traveling, meeting new people, and diving into a good book. I’m curious about the world - especially when it comes to food, culture, and history. I’m always up for discovering new culinary ideas from around the globe.
I also do some sports from time to time - not out of deep passion, but mostly to keep a clear conscience… though to be honest, I usually prefer to just take it easy, but I really enjoy hiking in the mountains or going for a run every now and then :-)
I‘m not much of a drinker but I still enjoy sipping a nice glass of red wine while watching the sunset on a warm summer evening - even better if I get to share that moment with someone.
I enjoy theatre, visiting art museums, spending time with my cats, going to concerts and being out in nature is something I really enjoy too because it helps me slow down and recharge.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A few years ago, I quit my job and gave up my apartment to travel around the world for a year. That journey helped me grow so much - I had countless beautiful and eye-opening encounters along the way and I wouldn’t want to miss a single day of that amazing journey.
And I did some paragliding acrobatics: wingover and spiral (I’m not a paraglider myself. It‘s been a tandem...I'm clearly not THAT brave. :))
I believe that a smile can help heal wounds - or at least keep you healthy! I love to laugh, and I enjoy seeing others laugh too.
A few years ago, I therefore started training to become a CliniClown, also known as Clown Doctor - and I’ve completed that training since then. Best professional development I ever did :))
Teach, Learn, Share
Uhm… I can cook well, change light bulbs, install lamps, and build shelves and cupboards — that kind of stuff.
I know how to hammer a nail and drill a hole… and I kind of know how to change a tire — at least in theory. ;-)
I can do a bit of crocheting, bend my fingers like rubber, clap with my feet, and I can fold really tiny “heaven and hells” (though I’m not sure anyone actually wants to learn that :-))
If you are interessted in travelstories or some informations about Austria, feel free to ask. I'd love to give you some impressions...
