Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of different music, but my current playlist is a generic club mix, with some Cambodian hiphop thrown in for fun. The last amazing movie I saw was Diamond Island, directed by a friend of mine. I read mostly trash and kids books for fun, because the stuff I read for my work is depressing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Only one? Adapted to village life. Over the past two years I've gotten used to bathing from an open well while the buffalo watch, sleeping on the floor under a mosquito net, drinking rice wine, speaking Khmer, and hanging out with whatever kids, dogs, cats, chickens, and other wildlife are curious about me. I'm still not allowed to cook though.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak conversational Khmer and want to learn more. I can swear in 5 languages. I can cook. I know more about rice farming and forestry conservation than I ever planned on learning. I want to learn whatever someone else has to teach me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I cook, tell terrible jokes, and have amazingly artistic friends whose work I love to share and brag about. I'm quiet, easy going, and pretty chill.
