ABOUT ME

My name is Sarah, but you can call me Sarahnade.
I haven't been on this site in about two years but I am so glad to be back. I've spent most of my life in the Hudson Valley of New York. Like many others I have a very expensive college degree that I have not yet put to good use. Since college I have lived in New Orleans and then Montreal and spent a few life-changing months hitch-hiking and camping in the wilderness of California. Since then I have returned to the sleepy Hudson Valley to spend time with my family and save money to move out West. My time in New York is coming to a close and before finding roots in Oregon with my best friend we have decided to spend a few weeks touring this amazing country. She has never couch-surfed or seen the West coast but has patiently listened to my endless stories about my traveling stint in California. I am very excited to be back on this site and to show her what this amazing community is all about. Once we settle in Oregon I intend to host travelers at our abode, which I am also so looking forward to.

Briana and I are thoughtful gypsy laughter seekers with big hearts and a knack for making rituals out of air and drawing magic from the mundane. Other than laughter and stories we will also be bringing homemade jams and spices to cook for our hosts.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i have only had a few couchsurfing experiences so far but they have been really amazing. i am settling into this community and am looking forward to continue meeting people and hosting folks once i am settled in Portland.
