About Me

I'm a book reviewer, printmaker and multimedia artist, hiker, and cat enthusiast. I love traveling, camping, backpacking, and hiking, but being outdoorsy is newish to me because I'm a native Minnesotan who hates the cold (and it's cold most of the year here!). Now I'm working on visiting every Minnesota state park - only 50ish to go! I'm an introvert but love having great conversations - forget small talk and tell me what fascinates you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting people and making friends while traveling and learning about the area's secrets from locals!

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly love reading horror, sci-fi/fantasy, and non-fiction. The best books I read in 2018 were The Hour of Land by Terry Tempest Williams and The Fifth Season trilogy by N.K. Jemisin. I love watching movies and shows and there's too many to pick a favorite, but I truly love horror comedy, true crime and/or nature documentaries, and trashy reality TV!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I planned an entire wedding without a smartphone - for a young millennial that's an accomplishment haha. One year I read over 100 books. I backpacked half of the biggest cities in Italy for 3 weeks. I watched the 2017 total solar eclipse from Lincoln, Nebraska.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm an open book! I love just being real about life and how negative experiences have influenced you and made you stronger. I'm not a glass half full type of gal but I'm of the opinion we'll all be okay if we stick together. My sense of humor can be dark and blunt but I promise I'm still a little Minnesota nice ;)

I love hearing adventure stories - tell me about your travels and your favorite experiences. I love sustainable living! Do you farm, grow your own food, or simply try to be zero waste as possible? Teach me your ways!
