Hello! My name is Sarah Want. I am 22 and living in Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada. I have grown up here and haven't really traveled a lot, other than a trip to the mountains with my family this past summer. I am very friendly and polite, kind of a stereotypical Canadian! I work front desk at a hotel in Winnipeg and love it. I am a people person and love to talk so it's perfect for me. I get to meet people from around the world and listen to their amazing stories. I love to have fun and try new things. I'm perky, cheery, bubbly and love too meet new people. I know my profile also says that I'm not accepting guests. It's not that i don't want to return the favor, but more so that I still live at home with my parents and three younger brothers so It's not something I am able to do. Sorry!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because in the summer of 2016 I want to travel Europe with my brother Daniel. He is 19 and my best friend. We are going to do a Contiki tour for the first half of our trip, but then it's on our own from there! Neither of us have ever really traveled so this is a huge thing to do for us. We are planning on coming to Europe for 2 months, month one being with Contiki and month 2 we're not sure what we're doing yet! All we know is we have to make it from Athens to Dublin all on our own. Couchsurfing seems like a nice way to do it since we both really want to see how the locals live. I will admit though, I am hesitant about actually doing this. I believe there are safe and friendly people on here who will offer up their homes but I am a very cautious person so forgive me if I seem hesitant! I just like to have my research thoroughly done.

Intereses

I don't have too many interests to be honest. I'm one of those people what will one day be really into writing and the next day never want to see a pen and paper again. I am very curious though, I love to explore and try new things. My average night is getting off work at midnight and going for a beer or two at our local bar with some friends. I don't have a very interesting life, but I'm trying to change that!

I'm not a big reader but when it comes to movies and TV shows I have my addictions. I am crazy about Lord of the Rings, hands down my favorite thing of all time. I also like horror movies or raunchy comedies. For music i listen to just about anything but my true love is for new rock (think the Black Keys or July Talk.)

The most amazing thing I have done isn't really that amazing. Like I said before I have never really traveled or done anything special in my life yet. So I think the most amazing thing I have done is just going to the mountains in Alberta, Canada. See, nothing too special. I did get a job offer to work at on of the hotels at the resort we stayed at though! That felt pretty nice.

I really don't have much to teach or share. But I love to learn. That's why I want to go to Europe so badly. I want to be somewhere where history lives. To look out onto the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland, or to ride a gondola down the canals in Venice, that is my dream. It makes me want to cry just thinking about the amazing culture that I am missing out on. I am always willing to sit and listen to a story or go on a tour of somewhere special. I am always willing to learn.
