About Me
[Not accepting guest from July to mid-August due to my own travel plans.]
I am a laid-back (or well, as laid-back as you can be in law school), fun-loving person whose dream is to see the world!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel, and I feel Couchsurfing gives me the opportunity to interact with locals and get the best experience out of trips! :) I also love the feeling of being able to connect with people; the community spirit is strong on Couchsurfing! :D
Interests
Reading, writing, travelling.
And ah! Watching tv shows. I'm a huge telly-junkie! I default to American shows (House of Cards? Scandal? Elementary?), but generally? I'll watch anything. :D
I'm huge on coffee, so cafe-hopping is a big thing for me too! I'm always interested in trying out new foods, although I have been told that I have a really sophisticated palate, and generally stick to the "good stuff". :P I'm a true believer in the concept of breakfast for dinner.
I'm not too good at sports hahaha. Hand-eye coordination has always been a huge issue for me. But I do enjoy hiking, and walking trails, and New Zealand is, thankfully, one of the best countries for this! :D

Music, Movies, and Books
East of Eden (and pretty much everything John Steinbeck), modern poetry e.g. Richard Siken. I'm big on Sci-Fi, and you can find me with a copy of one of the Star Trek novelisations at any point. I find that I don't have as much time as I used to to devote to reading, but anytime I'm not spent doubled over law textbooks, you can find me reading. :D
Pretty easy on music, but showtunes are always good. Huge, huge fan of musicals! I have the Hamilton soundtrack playing as I'm writing this, and I like pretending to myself that I can do the Lafayette rap from Guns and Ships. :D Also thumbs up for Gustav Holst's Planets, which have always been my favourite classical tunes. :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved all the way to New Zealand for uni! NZ is honestly gorgeous, everywhere is so picturesque. I hiked the Tongariro Crossing in NZ, which was gruelling, and took me a good eight hours, and plenty of scares when the path got too slippery with pebbles, but the view? Incomparable.
And oh! I've met Aaron Tveit, which was awesome when it happened. :D I'm at least 85% sure I stopped breathing for a little bit when he said hi.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy cooking, and food in general. I know all the best food deals/places in town! :) I did some Philosophy and Political Science papers in uni, so if you ever want to learn/have a discussion surrounding these topics, I'm definitely interested to hear your thoughts! I do a bit of creative writing, and copy-edit too, so if you need help with any of that, I'm more than keen to share!
If you're keen to learn Mandarin or Malay, I can definitely help you out. I do some conversational Mandarin lessons with the kids I'm nannying, and they're picking up super quickly! :D I also know a few key phrases in Te Reo Maori. :D
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm always armed with a fun anecdote or two! I'm also good with chores, whenever you need me to do anything. Super good with children; I've got quite a bit of experience nannying, and I've always found being around children to be super fun and rewarding. :D If you've got legal documents that need going through? I'm your person, mate! I cook too! Not extremely well, but no-one's had any complaints yet. :D If you're into musicals, and want to put a bootleg on, but feel you a need a partner to duet with you? I'm always down for that. :D
