ABOUT ME

What can I say? I am a positive open minded fun person. I am very sociable and love talking!
I am really easy going but at the same time adventurous!
I can be silly, fun and I have a wacky sense of humor but I'm ambitious and always moving to the next challenge. I love meeting new people from all over the world and living and sharing new experiences.
Travelling is a part of who I am! I have traveled to many places and lived in four countries Australia, America, England and Spain. I am new to couch surfing and decided to join after so many good friends have recommended it! I have heard that generally couch surfers are very open minded individuals, like me! I have a huge passion to continue travelling all over the world and learning about new cultures, seeing beautiful sites and meeting new people,
The most important things in my world are family, good friends, education, music, travel, languages food and staying positive and having fun!

I'm a newbie... so hoping to participate soon!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ok so as I am currently new to couch surfing myself, I haven’t had any experiences sleeping on couches or sharing couches yet! However I lived in a big house share in London and lived with many people who came from Couch surfing, mainly from Italy and Argentina. Including one friend/housemate who was so into couch surfing and knows the original creators of the site. I have very good friends who swear by it and have introduced me to it. Right now I am looking to meet new people in Valencia and when the opportunity arises in my living situation definitely share a coach or bed in the future!

Interests

I am a massive Muso, as in obsessed with all types of Music. From R&B, Hip Hop, Soul, funk, Reggae to Classic Rock, Spanish/Cubana Music and world Music! I love going to Live Music events and dancing the night away. I have worked in the Music industry since I left school in many different roles, corporate record companies (Universal, Warner Music), managed a 7 piece band, organised many live Music events in aid of Charities in London and for the Official Charts Company. I'm an aspiring DJ and with massive Music collection, I hope to start playing/practising more soon! I love sharing Music with people; enjoying dancing and watching people get carried away into the magic of Music! I believe that Music brings people together and makes the world a better place. Music is LIFE!

I’m a foodie! I love all different types of food and trying new cuisines. Although I’m a pescatarien, I love food, mainly seafood and creative vegetarian dishes!

I am now currently living in Valencia Spain, after living in Galicia. I am teaching English to Spanish Students and Studying Spanish at the same time.
I think languages are very important and valuable to have and communication is key in life. I am enjoying learning and sharing!

I also love Cycling, Swimming and Scuba Diving. Water Sports and the Beach! Growing up in Sydney with beautiful beaches all around, I'm a water baby, it;s a part of who I am! I love the beach and ocean and the calmest when in the ocean! My country truly is a paradise. Everyone should visit in their lifetimes!

I love having in depth conversations about important social issues. I care a lot about the world and all the problems the human race faces. I love to share thoughts and learn from others.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - too many to name.. I’m a movie buff. But I adore most Al Pacino, Robert Deniro, Sean Penn and Johnny Depp Films. I am a big fan of world cinema also, generally as the story lines are better than Hollywood blockbusters! Huge fan of Almadover’s earlier films (Hable con ella,,Women on the edge of a nervous breakdown) However still entertained by comedy’s that make me laugh! Most recent favourite – Life of PI!

Music – Mostly everything! I’m super eclectic. My favourite types of Music are Soul, Hip Hop, R&B, Funk,Jazz, Reggae, Dub, Chill Out, Electronic, Indie, Rock, Acoustic, Cubana, Boogaloo, and world music!
Some of my all time favourite artists/groups – Tribe Called Quest, Biggie Smalls, Erykah Badu,
Jay Z, Beyonce, Jimi Hendrix,Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Zero 7, Buena Vista Social Club, Ray Charles and many many many more!

Books – I always have a big pile of books that I try to read all at once! Lol.
Generally love positive slef motivating books as well as incredible stories, autobiographies and anything that is interesting and educates! Some favourites – Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts, The Alchemist – Paulo Cohelo, A Thousand Splendid Sunshine’s and Kite Runner by Khaled Housanni, Marching Powder by Rusty Young.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach, Learn, Share is the motto we should all live by! You never stop learning in life. Teach and Share your experiences and knowledge. Learn from others about theirs! Stay open minded always, we never stop learning in life. I can teach English or help people with their English!
I always need to practise my Spanish. I am definitely open to Language Exchanges – Intercambios here! I am also open to learning/practising with any DJ’s out there!!
