About Me

I'm a friendly, creative type with excellent house-guest manners and hosting panache. As a laid-back introvert, I'm an independent traveller and make a pretty low maintenance couchsurfer. I'm friendly and love a good visit, but I cherish my alone time and am perfectly comfortable giving people space when they need it too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm into the generosity of this community! It's a nice way to cross paths in a meaningful way with sweet people I'd otherwise probably not meet. It makes the world a more interesting, welcoming place.

Interests

Long walk explorations, pen and ink drawing, body painting, gardening, meditation, hiking, camping, fire twirling, Bananagrams, searching for treasures at estate sales, dancing up a storm at festivals and in living rooms alike, exploring rural abandoned buildings, cultivating the best lamp and bird-art collections in the land.

I love learning new things (and I've done all kinds of stuff from jewellery design, to professional house and pet sitting, to social media management, to road maintenance)!

Music, Movies, and Books

Although I read mostly non-fiction, my favourite book is called "Sum: Forty Tales from the Afterlives" by David Eagleman. It's a bit absurd and totally captivating. Each of the stories is no longer than two pages, so it's super easy to burn through. I've bought and given away many many copies. "The Body Keeps the Score" is another book I can't get enough of these days.

Teach, Learn, Share

Do you want to draw but feel a bit intimidated to start? I have lots of art supplies and awesome tips and tricks to make finding your creative spark a fun and organic process. If we draw together, I promise you'll leave with a beautiful collaborative piece of art.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking delicious vegetarian and vegan meals and I can chip in with errands and chores! I'll make a point of contributing around the house.
