About Me
CURRENT MISSION
"May you live every day of your life" -Jonathan Swift
ABOUT ME
I currently live in Chattanooga, TN- I moved here in July 2012 from Wild & Wonderful, Almost Heaven... West Virginia. I'm a silly, fun, competitive person with a lively personality. I am afraid if I ever move too far away from the mountains that I'll lose sight of what brings me joy.
PHILOSOPHY
Among those whom I like or admire, I can find no common denominator, but among those whom I love, I can: all of them make me laugh.
-W.H. Auden
I believe that our lives are very fluid- people, material things, your personal mindset, what you like, who you love... these things can change on a daily basis for me. I'm learning how to deal with that change and embrace every waking moment. (though I could use more sleep)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surfed a few times on my US road trip in the summer of 2012. Since then I've hosted a few times and thoroughly enjoyed it every time! I hope to have more time to travel and surf more soon... and continue to host!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couch surfing was awesome! I have only surfed twice, but my hosts were wonderful and made me really appreciate this as not only a tool for having a place to stay, but for making new friends across all borders.
Interests
I love to play ultimate frisbee- it's what has dominated my free time for the past few years. Aside from a great way to exercise my body and competitive nature, it's introduced me to wonderful people who are now my best friends. When we're not playing together, we're cooking together, and when our mouths aren't full of food, we're laughing or singing or dancing. I also love to play outside- hike, run, walk in the woods. I have a soft spot for kittens and non-fiction books as well.
I also like:
cooking, baking, all while singing in my kitchen
riding my bike
science/math jokes
organizing

Things that engage my brain!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently participated in the Ragnar Relay series- Tennessee. I ran from Chattanooga to Nashville with 11 friends, and together we conquered 196.3 miles in a relay format. Running through the Tennessee countryside with only the light from the stars and my headlamp guiding me along the pavement was one of the most amazing moments of my life. Do you know what's even better? Running as the sun is rising over an absolutely clear sky, shining light onto the beautiful golds and oranges of the fall leaves the following morning. Bliss.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach- I know a lot about designing imaginary chemical plants, so I could put you to sleep with that. I do love science so I would love to chat about the latest in science news.
I can teach you how to cook a few things- mostly how to wing it until you feel confident enough to serve your meals to someone else.
I love to learn ANYTHING.
