Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think CS is a wonderful opportunity to travel in general and to discover interesting places - not just as a tourist but almost like a local - meet inspiring people, share deep conversations... receive hospitality and be hospitable yourself. I guess it's a small step to make the world a better place :)

Whenever I couchsurfed, I had some really good days with our hosts and CS defo made our trip much more authentic and enjoyable.

Interests

Well... guess there are plenty.

Music and travelling are my greatest passions, that's for sure. Besides that I enjoy hanging out with friends... for a cuppa tea or a nice glass of wine or also to enjoy concerts, theatre performances, parties and movie nights together. I'm not the greatest chef but always up for some cooking with friends. Besides that I enjoy various kinds of sport (although it's easy to be lazy ;) ) and I loooove getting around with my dear bicycle.

I love meeting people from other countries to broaden my horizon: learn from them and pass something on myself. As I studied social work I'm into social & political topics and always keen to learn more about it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Parachute jumping, paragliding & diving.
Not sure how 'amazing' these things are but for me they were great. Had to completely trust someone else but it made me feel incredibly free for a few minutes.

Celebrating carnival in Barranquilla, Colombia with up to 30 other Couchsurfer. We didn't know each other before and still clicked immediately. There was a great sense of trust, respect, companionship and happiness which was fantastic.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Lots of stories about life, travelling, society, politics, and so on while sharing a cup of tea or glass of wine, I guess. Can't teach you any cool instrument, I'm afraid. Neither do I sew, etc., but I love washing up if that sounds appealing. ;)
