ABOUT ME

Hi my name is Sarah Tierney and I'm studying abroad in Kaiaua, NZ with a program called EcoQuest which focuses on environmental sustainability. I will traveling NZ after my school program ends on December 7th for a month and am planning on going tramping, exploring, couchsurfing, WWOOFing, and volunteering. I will be traveling with my friend, Laynie Saidnawey, we are both twenty year old college students from The University of New Hampshire. Laynie is from Boston and I am from rural NH. We wanted to couchsurf as we have heard so many good things about it here in NZ. We thought it would be a great way to get in as much site seeing and real culture experiences. We both really would love to couchsurf as we have heard it is an amazing experience that it would give us a taste of what life is like in New Zealand beyond the our study abroad classroom experience. We both don't have a lot of experience with couchsurfing, but we are extremely open minded and love new experiences. We both love being in NZ and are very excited to be traveling around NZ. To us couchsurfing sounds like the perfect situation to live, learn, and explore NZ.

I live for trying new stuff and putting myself out there to take chances and be adventerous :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had one other couch surfing experiene here in NZ with Jamie in Nelson, NZ and it was great! I stayed with another friend Kaitlin Porter and we had a great first experience! :) Jamie has gotten me hooked on doing mroe couchsurfing!

Interests

I am super interested in the outdoors and the environment. I love ebing outside and trying new activities. I have a passion for animals and am into all kinds of outdoor activities such as rock climbing, horseback riding, skiing, snowboarding, soccer, and swimming.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read and watch a variety of movies. I pretty much enjoy anything that is funny or action packed.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am still working on doing amazing things in my lfietime, but so far I've traveled to NZ, Canada, China, Taiwan and hopefully many more :) I've been skydiving and cliff jumping. I plan on trying to continue traveling as much as possible after I'm done school.
