About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a 27 years old half-English girl from France. About 4 months ago, I decided to pack a bag and wander around Australia for a bit, which I'm still doing now! Of course, I love travelling (like most people here probably :)), discovering and learning about places and people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven't used Couchsurfing much yet, but as my trip progresses, I find myself adjusting things and wanting to try different ways of travelling. At the moment, I would love to discover places through the people who live there, rather than staying in hostels.

Interests

Travelling, of course :)

I'm also very interested in ecology, environmental responsibility and sustainable lifestyles.

I love reading, listening to music, being by the sea, visiting exhibitions, going to concerts, cooking (and eating), walking, having a drink with friends...

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: quite a few "oldies", Springsteen, Clapton, Beatles, Van Morrison, The Band, Bowie, The Smiths... and Divine Comedy, Damon Albarn, Future Islands...

Films: I enjoy quite a variety of films, except for horror ones. They work far too well on me :)

Books: so many come to mind it's difficult to make a choice! I've read quite a bit of Oscar Wilde and Victor Hugo. PG Wodehouse and Bill Bryson never fail to put me in a good mood. I will read pretty much anything thay crosses my path, though! In the last few months, I've enjoyed Stefan Zweig's account of Magellan's trip around the world, Sebastian Barry's Temporary Gentleman, Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad... and the list of books to read grows constantly!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently camped in a trailer in outback Queensland. Many more things to come, hopefully!

Teach, Learn, Share

No super impressive talents unfortunately. I have a freaky memory for entirely useless random facts and can make a good chocolate cake, though.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd be happy to cook a meal or two and share a conversation :)

Australia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Burkina Faso, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, United Kingdom, United States
