About Me

CURRENT MISSION

just finished all my exams and now start working as a primary teacher

ABOUT ME

My name is Sarah and I'm from the south of Germany, close to the beautiful lake Constance!
I finished my studies to become a primary teacher in April and came to New Zealand to have a break from studying... before I have to start the second part of the teacher education in February.
I've been in New Zealand for 7 months now already and I'm leaving soon!!! I have seen a lot of New Zealand but I would definitely stay longer!
Before I have to go home in the cold cold winter I wanted to travel through Australia too, but unfortunately I don't have much time left so I decided only to go and see Sydney!
I love to meet new people and get to know their way of life and I'm pretty easy-going! I'm open to try new things and explore a new town... With my friends I can be really funny and also silly but when I meet new people sometimes I'm a little bit shy, but not for very long... :D

PHILOSOPHY

Make the best of what you got!!! It doesn't help to complain...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I'm living here in New Zealand in the family where I work as an Aupair (Nanny). Therefore I can't host anyone... :-(
When I'm back in Germany I definitely wanna host people from all over the world, because I love meeting new people and also love to care about/for people! And get to know their culture, their way of life... I think you can learn a lot from other people!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did couchsurfing only in New Zealand yet:
Taupo: 3 nights
Dunedin: 2 nights
Invercargill: 1 night
Queenstown: 2 nights
Nelson: 2 nights
Wellington: 3 nights

Interests

I do have a lot of interests, but sometimes (because of every day life) not enough time to do much...
I LOVE horses!!! (I did horse riding for 8 years) but I also love most other animals... :D I have no allergies so far! ;-)
I love any kind of craft work, drawing, painting, reading, going to the cinema, meeting my friends and hang out with them...
I love cooking and baking and I love to try all kind of new recipes!!!
I go to the gym...
Last but not least, I love travelling of course!!! Sometimes go and see a lot, but sometimes also just sitting on a beach or mountain... and enjoy the view!!! I love it!
