ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in what is quite possibly the most culturally monotonous place on earth... a small farming community in Missouri. Fortunately, since then I've had the chance to travel quite a bit and I've met people from all walks of life. Other cultures fascinate me... I love meeting new people in general :-)

2018 Update: We took a break from hosting when we had kids, but now that the kids are getting a little older (5 and 8) we think it would be great for them to meet people from around the world or even around the country. We have a lot of space to host, so we're excited to get back in to it! We're still quite close with several people we hosted over a decade ago and looking forward to be able to say the same thing a decade from now!

Intereses

My 2 favorite things to do would be eating and shopping. However, lest I become broke and fat, I have to mix it up sometimes. I also love caving, rappelling, camping, hiking, volunteering at my local animal rescue society and taking random road trips.
