I can seem quiet and reserved upon first meeting, but I come out of my shell pretty quickly. I am enthusiastic and curious and I absolutely love exploring.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'll be honest- I'm a little anxious about couchsurfing! I want to branch out and meet new people (which can be scary), so I am embracing something new. When I travel, I want to be able to connect with people and when people stop in Omaha, I want them to have the best experience possible.

Interests

I have myriad interests, including (but not limited to) writing, hiking, camping, reading, discovering new music, singing, playing piano, traveling, etc etc. And eating. Don't forget eating.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a devoted listener of all things vaguely considered "indie" that I usually pick up off of radio stations such as KEXP (Seattle) and The Current (Minneapolis). However, since I was a music major, I also adore classical music, especially Beethoven, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, and Vaughan Williams. If you start a music conversation with me, it may never end.

I'm also pretty into TV these days (it's an art form, I tell you!) so if you want to chat about current shows, I'm all over it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A couple summers ago, I packed up my car and starting driving out west. I spent almost a month on the road, stopping to camp or visit friends throughout the western United States. I saw the Redwood Forest, the Grand Canyon, and even drove through LA (which, as a Nebraskan, is no small feat)... among other things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my travel stories and tidbits about music and television or I can be as a quiet as a mouse and give you your space. I am very flexible and accommodating. What I'd love to do is have a beer and swap stories!
