One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my favorite places is the Soudan Underground Mine in northeastern Minnesota. It takes you 1/2 mile down into the earth where miners used to work in the early part of the 20th century. At one point the tour guide turns the lights off and you literally can't see the hand in front of your face. I've never experienced such complete darkness anywhere else.
