ABOUT ME

My number one passion is music: I am jazz singer in and around Austin. I perform frequently at events such as weddings, galas and various fancy-pants parties. I also work for a creative sign/design/fabrication company here in Austin. I also perform/am learning Improv with a local theater company and volunteer with The Creative Action Project. I love to explore and spread the joy and passion I have for anything and everything creative. I also enjoy sun-bathing, painting/drawing, baking, chit-chatting, my kitten, exploring new outdoorsy places, graphic design, reading, good movies, vintage/thrift shopping, long drives with my sunroof open on beautiful days, running/exercising and traveling...and am hoping to do more of it in the near future. Oh, in the Spring I will be starting my Master's in Elementary Education. It's something I've been wanting to pursue for a while and I am excited to get to inspire our kiddos.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently living in a small one bedroom situation with my older sister (it's a long story) in a great(ish) part of South Austin (78704!) I am hoping to have things arranged soon to where we can host an occasional surfer or two (who don't mind small spaces). My apartment complex is like a little community and people all hang-out/cook-out, smoke too many cigarettes and laugh until it hurts. We are less than two miles from most of Austin's hot spots. I have yet to 'surf' myself, but hopefully will in the near future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a friend once who was very involved in the couchsurfing community and I got to hang out with various folks who stayed at his place. It was blast getting to meet all different folks, showing off our little city and getting to hear a little bit about their various stories/lives/loves/etc.
