About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see and experience every single country in the world.

ABOUT ME

Hm my friends usually say I am overly responsible, always there to help others, reliable, a realist. My family on the other hand would probably argue that I am irresponsible haha. Therefore I believe that diverse is the one word that describes me best. I am probably not just diverse from my cultural background and roots, but I always feel like my little nomade in me comes through every once in a while, when I start to feel restless and need to discover something new.

PHILOSOPHY

try to make the best out of everything and be satisfied...even though somnetimes it is a little harder than other times, but oh well i guess thats what life is about.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

so far i have been hosted by my first host and met some couchsurfers. i havent been a member of couchsurfing for a long time yet, but once i come back to tempe i plan on attending my first meeting and i hope to meet some fellow couchsurfers from arizona.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

none yet, but i hope that will change soon...and yes it did, since i am in chicago right now, staying with a really nice host.

Interests

Since I am a couchsurfing memeber by now, my biggest interest is traveling and meeting new people and learn about other cultures and human beings and their way of living their lifes. I also love music and love to go to concerts and festivals. Because I learned at a young age to cook, I love to invite friends over to cook for them. Whether I am good at it, is surely a different question though. But as far as I know, we had no fatalities yet caused by my cooking skills. I also like to sew, but since i am traveling at the moment, i could not bring my sewing machine, so i cant do that right now, but will continue that once i am back home around my sewing machine again. Of course i like to do sports, even though I am probably not the most sportive person. I prefer doing sports for fun though and not for competition. Recently I discovered my passion for hiking, since Arizona offers so many various hiking areas and mountains, but i also love to swim, play tennis, volleyball, table tennis (in case thats considered a sport).

Music, Movies, and Books

hm movies i guess i dont have a favorite one, but i like pretty much everything that makes me either laugh or cry like life is beautiful, the color purple, gladiator, braveheart, das leben der anderen, a time to kill,sleepers...hm seems like the sad part is outweighing the laughing one.
i barely read anymore, since i always forget what was in the beginning of the book, before i get to the end. music is something special for me, even though i stopped playing instruments by now, but might start again, once i have more time for it and am back at home. but of course i love to listen to it...i can pretty much enjoy lots of different kinds of music, but honestly i cant stand rap, hiphop, rnb or anything like that. so i prefer anything from indie to alternative to rock to a little bit of country every once in a while to some electronic artists or experiemental.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably the most impacts on me had my trips to Ethiopia and Taiwan as well as to China and Australia. Also reading books shapes my every day thinking and behavior. Therefore it is really hard for me to pick specific moments of my life that were amazing. Since already everybody defines amazing differently. I rather believe that most moments add up to a whole picture and insight, kind of like a puzzle, which is one of my other hobbies that I really enjoy.
