About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet some of the amazing people that make Melbourne Melbourne!
ABOUT ME
Hmmm... I'm loving life these days, absolutely loving it. I would say I'm friendly and easy going.. I know my home is the Westcountry in England but I've been adventuring in the beauty of far away lands for a few years. I can get super excited about the opportunities in city life but then pine for nature and peace to readjust the mind to noticing the little things. Can't wait to get stuck into this couch surfing idea.. missing the fellow traveller when at home is rubbish so to be able to bring all the travel stories and (smell of) adventure to my doorsep (when I get one :) is just awesome!!
PHILOSOPHY
Live without ego, lightly and thoughtfully. An aim anyway
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I tell the world about couchsurfing, what an incredible opportunity to restore faith in humanity! :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I feel really sad that although I registered on the site a few years ago I was living in a shared house where it was not ok to have 'randoms' there.... aaaargh! but "strangers are friends we haven't met yet!?" and "they're not randoms.. look this girl likes knitting stripey socks too!?"
Alas it never happened, but I'm so looking forward to meeting locals on my travels who can share all the amazing things about Australia and.. well.. anything about themselves and any country, and then when I'm a big girl with my own place (after this trip!) I can give back the love and host to my hearts content :)
Interests
I love exploring my landscapes, hiking, camping, feel yoga is my cure all to everything, want to try harder at meditation :) I love different types of couple dancing, and stomping in muddy fields. Travel, live music, scuba diving and girl chats over a bottle of wine :) I love natural healthcare, the gaining of confidence (mine or others), watching rain and bugs, little random things.. like seeing how long a dancing leaf follows you, pulling a funny face at someone squished going past on a packed train hoping for one back, hearing consecutive snippets of lots of conversations when you walk past a busy restaurant. Oh and those conversations where you put the world to rights! I'm scared of all this complacency of inequality and poverty, and hate waste. I've done lots of natural building - cob, strawbale, and daydream designs of my own little place. Yep.. that sort of thing and lots of other sorts of things too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming with a whale shark (realizing I had so much more air in my lungs than I thought I had.. because I really wanted there to be, there's always more air, energy, strength than you think!)
Teach, Learn, Share
I could share some clothes remaking/revamping skills... a yoga move or two... tin whistle.. crafty and practical things.. we could play djembe if you so happened to have one..
you can teach me anything..
