Music, Movies, and Books

Books: The Sound and the Fury (Faulkner), The Catcher in the Rye (Salinger), The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns (Hosseini), The Lacuna (Kingsolver), Pillars of the Earth (Follet), The Painted Veil (Maugham), Jane Eyre (Bronte), any and all Jane (Austen), The Book Thief (Zusak), Water for Elephants (Gruen), Everything is Illuminated (Foer), so, so much more I just don't have the best memory, anything Sociology related (esp Bourdieu)

Movies: I'm a When Harry Met Sally kind of girl, but I also love a good documentary. Old movies, action movies, deep movies, light movies - I can do anything but scary.

Music: I often listen to more folky-indie type music. The Avett Brothers were my first great love. Artists I recently/typically enjoy in completely random order: Dr. Dog, Fleet Foxes, Ella Fitzgerald, Beirut, The Beatles, Lord Huron, Alabama Shakes, Lana del Rey, Angus & Julia Stone, The Black Keys, Local Natives, Kings of Convenience, Beyonce, The Tallest Man on Earth, Joe Pug, The Civil Wars, Andrew Bird, BEYONCE, Louis Armstrong, Phoenix, Alexi Murdoch, Prince, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Regina Spektor, Grizzly Bear, Band of Horses, Iron & Wine, Jose Gonzalez, Aretha Franklin... Also a lot of classical music, or anything with a good beat!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trekking to El Salvador on my own was the biggest adventure of my life thus far!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can definitely teach you how to cook a dish or two, if we both have the time. I also used to be a dance aerobics and yoga instructor so if you need some exercise? Haha. And I love to talk about the things I've studied, or anything really. If you want to have a music jam session, I'm always down to sing along too.
