ABOUT ME
Grumpy and stubborn but easy-going (yep, pretty inconsistent!) I can laugh and cry only seconds apart and have often been known to do so together.
I'm passionate about a lot and have an opinion on most things (often regardless of whether I know what I'm talking about). But I love to chill and take people and life as they come, most of the time.
I'm a bundle of contradictions, but I'm working on knowing myself and wouldn't mind getting to know some other people in the process!
PHILOSOPHY
"Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding... And could you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of your life, your pain would not seem less wondrous than your joy"
Every experience we have can teach us something -- even the difficult ones.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I have only had the pleasure of hosting two lovely German lads! It was such good fun that I'm mad to do it again though!
Interests
Smiling...and laughing and giggling. Cuddling. Breaking randomly into song. Reading. Writing emo poetry and crying over the computer keyboard. WWF style wrestling matches with friends and siblings. Giving and taking a good slagging. Feeding people, parties and DANCING (usually badly!)
I take too many photos and tell too many stories. I like to sleep too late and dream in the dark.
I love music -- I play and listen whenever I can and am not fussy at all about what kind. If it's got a bit of skill or passion, I can appreciate it.
I'm also obsessed with food and cooking -- if I could eat my way around the world, I would.
My main interest though is talking, both to and AT people. I have been known to have a rant, but I usually eventually allow other people to get a word in!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not quite sure what qualifies as "amazing" nowadays? If I were to discuss this in person, I would get all metaphysical about how the mundane can be as amazing as the extraordinary. Here, I'll leave it at this: the most amazing things I've seen/done have been the things big and small that help someone in need.

Teach, Learn, Share
Hmm...well I can teach piano. I have also been known to give a few pointers on cooking (both with and without the "student" asking for help!)
To me, though, all of life is a learning experience. And every opportunity to teach something is an opportunity to learn, also.
