About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I just bought my first ever house in an old and beautiful neighborhood in South Seattle! The last few months, and probably the next several, have been dedicated to getting to know my new home and start to grow roots here. So far that means building a chicken coop for our 4 adorable new born chicks and dog proofing the place for our four month old beagle, Blanche. So I would caution anyone who is not an animal person against surfing with us! The name of our neighborhood is Tukwila and it is situated just south of Boeing Field. There are buses that run directly into downtown and Georgetown, which is a funky neighborhood with lots of shops, restaurants, bars, galleries etc. Downtown takes about 25 minutes by bus and Georgetown less than 10. We are also very convenient to Sea-tac airport so if you've got a flight in or out, this is a great jumping off point!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was introduced to couchsurfing in 2010 when I spent several months traveling in Europe and I met some really amazing and welcoming people through this network who not only provided me with a free place to stay, but often times went out of their way to show me the sites, prepare and eat meals together, and generally be just wonderful and gracious hosts! Now that I have a house of my own I very much want to pay that forward and open my home to new travelers!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in an old trailer with no running water and very little heat, for one year on a 20 acre organic bio-diverse farm, working the land growing produce and raising chickens, pigs, and cows.
