ABOUT ME

Vincent was born near Paris, but he grew up in Biarritz in the South West of France. He completed a diploma in jewelry making, then in pastry. He's now working as web developer. He lived in Barcelona to learn spanish and finally moved to Canada. He first lived in Montreal around 6 months, moved in Vancouver during an other 6 months to finally come back and stay in Montreal for good. He is 36 years old.

Sarah was born near Montreal and always lived in her beloved city. She has a bachelor in International Studies from the University of Montreal. She works as assistant in a big outdoor gear and travel equipment shop. She is 28 years old.

We are a couple since more than 7 years now. We both traveled separately : London and Austria for Vincent. Guatemala, Morocco, Ecuador and Ireland for Sarah. And together we visited Costa Rica, France, Spain, Mexico, Sweden, Iceland and USA (Boston, Chicago, New York, Cape Cod, Orlando). We sure plan a lot of trips for the next years!

We like nature : hiking (in Québec, New Hampshire, Vermont and New York States), lakes, rafting, biking, kayaking, etc. Also museums, restaurants, terrace with a good ambiance and COFFEE!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now, we participate in Couchsurfing more as host. Still, we had an amazing experience as guests in Cape Cod and will totally use it if the opportunity arises.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As we travel less for the moment, we are able to accomodate other travelers throught their journeys. We met awesome people with open mind and passed a good time with each one of them!

兴趣

Vincent's big passion is music. He plays electric guitar, bass and piano. However his favorite instrument is the cello which he plays every day (don't worry, with a mute!). Sarah's passion is all about travelling, hiking and photography!

Just a few movies we liked : Blood diamonds, Inglorious basterds, The help, The Lady, Le prénom, American History X, Argo, Les Intouchables, Avatar, Ce que le jour doit à la nuit, Django, Inception, etc.
Series : Game of thrones, The 100, The walking dead, How I met your mother, the big bang theory, Vikings, Spartacus, etc.
Music-wise we have very differents tastes. Vincent likes metal and classical (yep!) and Sarah likes... well everything except metal ;) Few groups we both like : Mumford and sons, Muse, 2cello, the Piano Guys, Ska-P,...
For the books part, Vincent doesn't read a lot. Sarah liked Jane Austin (so romantic!), Eric Emmanuel Schmitt, Ellen Hopkins, Mark Levy, Dan Brown, Arthur Golden, Nicholas Evans, etc.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Hum maybe seeing giant turtles laying their eggs on Tortuguero beach by night or the canyoning in Costa Rica, both amazing experiences!

We really like to try new things : Scuba diving (PADI Advanced divers), dogsledding, rafting, hot balloon, canyoning, zip line, segway, kiteboarding... we want to try everything!

There's a lot more we'd like to try : paragliding, sea doo, skydiving, etc.

We definitely want to practice our english and spanish. Vincent has basic of german and is always really happy to practice with somebody. Of course, we are both always happy to learn new languages.

Sarah can be a good guide to show her beloved city, good restaurants, sightseeing or attractions.

我可以与沙发主分享些什么

Hum... stories, laughter, travel experiences and tips about the countries we visited or where we lived... But concretely as host we offer a roof, a bed, shower and wifi ;)
