ABOUT ME

This section is always so hard. I am a filmstudent, so I am into making, watching and dicussing movies. I think I'm funny, at least that's what people tell me. I like to laugh and be silly, that's for sure. Inside my heart I kind of still feel like a child. I believe in change and try to be the best person I can be. I love my friends and I never want to miss them. I like to just hang out, talk, philosophy, party, dance, play and joke around. It's also very important to me to develop creatively and to work hard on things (movies, scripts, myself ... ) to be happy.I also like sports, especially yoga and running (this in particular is something I never thought I would ever say:)

PHILOSOPHY

I see life as a path to learning how to be me, to unfold the real me, free from expectations, fears and doubts. I hope I'll be able to a send a lot of love into the world :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am amazed by the idea to be able to travel in a non commercial way and to enable other people to do the same.
The sadest thing is to travel and in the end realize that you didn't really get to know the country because you didn't get to know the people who llive there. I think only by taking a glimps behind tourist attractions and by getting to know a little bit of everyday life you really learn to understand the character of a country, the world at large and your position in it.
Also I am always very happy to welcome visitors at home in Berlin because I like to show people around in the city I love. That always makes me realize how great Berlin is and how cool it is to live here.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I discovered CouchSurfing when I travelled through the US. I met so many nice people and I got to know so much more about cities, the people and the country than I would have without CS.
I'm looking forward to more great experiences, hosting and surfing!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I am a huge Gus van Sant Fan, I think Elephant is one of the greatest movies of all time. I also like Darren Aronofsky, Lars von Trier, Tarrantino, Robert Rodriguez, Polanski, a couple of Fassbinder's Movies, Woody Allen and a lot more.

Books: Crime and Punishment, Oblomov, Steppenwolf, Dorian Grey, a lot of stuff by Kerouac and other Beatnik writers. I recently discovered Heinrich von Kleist, which felt like an epiphany I have a thing for Biographies, History Books and Books that deal with unfolding creativity and gaining super powers ....

Music: Elliott Smith, Fever Ray, Port O'Brien, Eagles of Death Metal, Caribou, Michael Jackson, The Gits, Sonic Youth, Radiohead, At the Drive-in, Smashing Pumpkins, Thelonious Monk, Bon Iver, Alice in Chains, Hot Water Music, System of a Down ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen shooting stars in the sahara when I was sitting on a dune all by myself, that was great!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to ride the bus for free in berlin (very useful and legit because I think public transportation should be for free to get people out of their cars and into busses and tubes to reduce air pollution!)
