About Me

This profile is for Sarah and Paul as well as for our kids Leo and Mira (4 and 6 years old). Mostly we travel together and if you stay at our place you will also meet all of us.

You´re most welcome at our home!

We are very passionate travellers and we use every occasion to go somewhere - far away for the longer trips but we are also very active in exploring the area where we live in day or weekend trips.

Between our travels we are quite busy because both of us are working and we have 2 children but there is always time to spend some time with nice people and to have a chat.

During summer we love to go to the water - either to the lake next to our flat or to one of the other lakes or rivers around Linz which are all close. We have a canoe which we like to use also.

In the evenings we sit together and have a chat or we play boardgames (we have a huge cupboard - so if you like you can choose ;-))

Paul is a very passionate cook (with a faible for asian food) so normally you won't be hungry at our home! But as we like to try food from different cultures we are also more than happy if you teach us something from your country.

Paul is also very interested in history and politics (me as well, but he knows more than me 😅) and often we sit hours and discuss about any topics of the world - as we know each other quite well it would be very enriching to hear your opinion as well and get to know a different point of view or learn something about history/politics of countries where you've been. At the moment our focus of interest beside daily austrian politics is (east)african history. And don't be scared we don't judge people if we have a different opinion - that is life and that is it what makes discussions exciting.

Sarah is dancing Lindy Hop/Swing and there is a very active community in and around Linz where also newcomers are always welcome.

All of us like to cycle - we use it for every way of our daily life and we started this year also our first 4-day-bicycle-holiday.

Leo is born 2018 and he loves geography, dolphins and travelling as well! He reads a lot and he loves to play with Lego.

Mira is now 4 years old and she is a very self-confident girl - at the moment totally crazy about Disneys Frozen.

We are always open for adventures 😉

But it is difficult to describe in a few sentences - come and get to know us.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After being inactive now for several years because life changed a little bit we want to start with couchsurfing again. We want to host you because you bring a little bit of the big large world to our little Linz. We like to get to know people and after trying so many hostels, lodges and hotels during our travel life we want to do it better 😅 we want to give you a great experience during travelling because we know how much this can improve the holidays. So tell us how we can make you happy!

Teach, Learn, Share

We like to learn to cook special dishes from different cultures and we can teach to cook austrian ones.

Sarah can show you how to dance Lindy Hop.

We want to learn a little bit of the language of every country I visit. At least we want to be able to say "Thank you"

We are very interested in learning about life in other countries (culture, history, politics) - we are happy if you talk about that

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you are interested we like to talk about history/politics and can tell you about how life is in austria, we can show you how to cook austrian dishes, and Sarah can show you how to dance Lindy Hop.
