About Me

CURRENT MISSION

April - September 2016:
Work at a huskeyfarm in Norway (and cuddle about 50 dogs :P)!

ABOUT ME

I'm a quite easygoing person.. you can get crazy with me, but also be silent together, maybe listening to some good music, wandering through nature...
In the last years life taught me to let everything go and also sometimes wait till things happen to you instead of desperatly looking for them (which doesn't mean to be passive and do nothing.)
So after some hard times I try to make the best out of the given circumstances.. so let's see with which surprises life comes up with next ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Untill now I only have very few experiences, but they were really cool :)
I surfed some couches in New Zealand and Australia in 2011.
It's been a while since then, but during the last years I didn't travel that much (well, I did, but I was camping or staying at friend's houses or I tried, but in Eastern Europe it was really hard/impossible!).

Time to give it a new try! I wanna meet new people again!

(I also offered my couch in my places where I studied, but well.. that were two quite boring towns in Germany, so nobody came.. BUT I hope that will change when I'm back and wil have moved.)

Interests

Be outside in nature.. hiking, biking, climbing..
Listening to music and maybe sharing some..
Reading a book from time to time...
Enjoy time with friends (cooking together, having a good talk while drinking tea or beer, laughing, sometimes dancing..)

Music, Movies, and Books

Two of the last books I read and liked were: The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami and When Nietzsche Wept by Irvin Yalom.
In general I mostly enjoy books with some deepness, something you can think about. And there doesn't have to be a conclusion for everything happening in the book all the time. But from time to time I also fancy a simple crime novel..

Hmm.. I like a lot of different music.. almost something good in every genre. At the moment I like listening to kind of electronican music mixed with real instruments and/or vocals. (for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNxaNTrnZeI)
I do LOVE live music of almost every kind!!! Everyting sounds so much better if you can see the joy and passion of the musicians..

I don't know that many movies, still I enjoy watching them tough.. I did like Into the Wild, V for Vendetta and Fight Club for example..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was working at a mountain lodge for 6 weeks last year and at the end a friend of my bosses invited me to go paragliding with him..
I know.. not that special but I was SO amazed by seeing that beautiful mountain scenery from above and by how smooth and relaxing all the movements of the paraglide were.... good memories :)
