ABOUT ME

I have just finished my undergrad and as a gift my parents bought me a ticket to Europe for the summer / fall. I grew up in a really small town, and I have been attempting to expand my horizons ever since! Moving to Montreal was a huge step, but now I am ready for something more! I have a list of 100 things I want to do in my lifetime so I have decided to travel the world to make the most out of the time I have.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short, know what you want to do with it, and just go for it! Discover what makes you happy, and surround yourself with it. The trouble comes, however, with making these two compatible.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am in the process of moving everything I own back into my parents house so that I can depart on this epic adventure, so I am unable to host anyone right now. In the future, however, once I have settled down somewhere I will be happy to host surfers!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a beginner. I heard about this site from a friend so I figure why not! I looks like a great way to meet people and to greater experience local cultures and languages.

Animals (of all kinds, I love zoos, included here is my kitten Stella); Movies (I love an underdog story); Music (anything with a good beat); Traveling (is that too obvious?); Africa (my degree is in African Studies); Photography; Rhythmic Gymnastics; College Football; Models Falling (look it up on youtube, you won't be disappointed); Dance (anything from club dancing to ballet); Teaching English as a Second Language (most likely my next adventure); Language (I would really love to improve on my French, Spanish and Swahili); the Commonwealth; Sleeping; Reality television.

Movies - Classic favorites of mine include Love Actually and Fight Club.

Books - At the moment I am reading the autobiography of Nelson Mandela (because I have always wanted to read it, but did not have the time while in school because it is massive), so far it is amazing!

Music - Currently on my "to-go" play list include Lil' Wayne, MIA, TI, Lady Gaga and One Republic. This, however, changes almost daily.
