About Me

I'm from Virginia and went to college in Ohio and found myself working at a summer camp for the last five summers in between school. I have a super soft spot for dogs. Two of my favorite activities are knitting and backpacking, and I'm starting to get back into long distance running after a break in college. I was in a sorority and people are always surprised when I say that, so that's something. This is a funny section for me to fill out because "About Me" seems like a really vague question. If you have more specific questions, I'm always happy to answer! Cheers!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was road tripping state-side for a while and now that I'm settled for a while, I'd like to open up my home for guests and new friends. Having shared experiences with others that I can look back on fondly is important to me, and there's always room to meet others and continue to have those experiences.

Interests

I've been a pretty active individual forever, whether on an organized sports team or out camping with friends. I'm usually game to try new things.

Music -- right now I'm really into Chris Thile, Yo Yo Ma, Shakey Graves, Soko, and Lord Huron, but I've been known to kick it to Beyonce and Adele

Movies --

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Supervised 60 18-year old staff members over the course of a summer. Among the adventures I've had like spending a few months living in an eco-village in Iceland or backpacking for 45 days in the Brooks Range, I feel that at this point in my life, supervising that many individuals was an incredible accomplishment for me.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, France, Iceland, Italy, Mexico, Uruguay, Virgin Islands, U.S.

Countries I’ve Lived In

Iceland, United States
