ABOUT ME

Couchsurfed when i first got to Perth and had a ball, then got distracted - sorry! - and forgot all about it but now im back. Thats it really.

PHILOSOPHY

I wish i could sum this up in my own words but at 1am in the morning I cant! So Im going to borrow someone elses words. Muhammad Ali once said: "I know where I'm going and I know the truth and I don't have to be what you want me to be. I am free to be what I want." That pretty much sums up the way I live my life. I only do things I want to do. I only go to places I want to go to. I only surround myself with people who I think are worthy of being in my life. Sure, that means that my inner circle is a small one but I don't do anything out of obligation. I don't lie - to myself or anyone else. And I can say with absolute conviction and certainty that although Im sure I will grow and change throughout life, I know and like the essence of who I am and I hold onto that no matter where life takes me...or where i take life.

Spread the CS love people!! Tell people about it wherever you go, other travellers, job shops etc etc. Make the world a smaller place..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have couchsurfed in Perth with 2 different peeps but not hosted yet as travelling and living wherever i can find a bed..Such a postive experience and a wonderful start to my life in Australia.

Intereses

Travelling, obviously!I love love love the beach and one of the best feelings in the world is coming out of the sea and falling asleep in the sun on a lazy afternoon. Love reading, writing,..i do love to write..oh and Jack Daniels (how can something so good make you feel so bad, huh?) to be honest, i always get stuck on questions like this. Im interested in everything to some degree and the things i really love are more about things I AM as opposed to things I DO. Im interested in anything that expands my mind and blows it.

BOOKS: Magical Thinking, Dry and basically anything by Augusten Burroughs also The History of Love (fave book of all time!), A New Earth and The Power of Now, Conversations with God, High Fidelity, The Interpretation of Murder and the one im writing!

MUSIC: Bowie, Stone Roses, Counting Crows, The Smiths, and Kings. Carole King's Tapestry is my fave album of all time, brought up on Bruce Springsteen, love Ryan Adams, New Order, Doves, Tribalistas, anything with a bit of rhythm...anything that makes you wanna dance, thats got a beat. music that makes you wish you were driving with the roof back. thats what i like.

MOVIES: Godfather 2, Once Upon a Time In America, The Odd Couple, Harvey, Serendipity, Goodfellas, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Its a Wonderful Life (how can you not?), The Wind That Shakes The Barley, The Departed.

Im eager and hungry to learn from and surround myself with different people. I might not like what you do or say but i'll always listen and i'll still wanna know everything about it. I don't have all the answers but thats ok. I enjoy taking control and responsibility for my life and nourishing my mind and soul. And even if i don't teach you something, I'll at least make you laugh!!
