ABOUT ME

I am constantly adventuring, learning, growing and seeking to do all of the above. I am a victim of wanderlust, constantly craving a new place to see full of new people to know. However I am a traveler, not a tourist. I am interested in learning about the places I visit from a local perspective, not from a guide book, not from a tour on a double decker bus, but by observing and participating in daily life. In school I studied anthropology through reading and lectures, now, I am a student of life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Most books that I read become a temporary favorite. Some that have really stuck with me include; Ismael + The Story of B, The Alchemist, Shadow of the Wind, A Thousand Splendid Sons, Ecotopia, Into the Wild, One flew over the cuckoo's text, On the Road, most things by Gabriel Garcia Marquez..

I love foreign films; I watch primarily Spanish (+Latin American) and French movies but will watch a worthy American film every now and again.

I enjoy most music, as long as the lyrics are good and the sounds are creative. mostly listen to; latin music (samba, reggae, bossanova), some rock, lots of ambient music, jazz, anything that grooves)The best kind of music is live music.

My stories, experiences and insights, in exchange for yours. I love to cook and love to learn to cook new things. I try to pick up a new recipe or two whenever I travel to a new place. We could swap some recipes and share some good food.
