About Me

ABOUT ME

Brit born NZ resident, married to an Aussie, like to keep moving... have just been working in Laos... now travelling with said Aussie around Laos/ Vietnam/ Cambodia by motorbike.

PHILOSOPHY

Heavy question! Hmmm... I believe you should have a plan, try to achieve something worthwhile in life- whatever that is- but know the journey is more important than the destination. Travel and life experience counts for more than possessions. Get outdoors. And when you stay in one place long enough foster puppies!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Sometimes it’s nice not to sleep in your car.

Interests

Happiest enjoying the great outdoors... tramping, skiing, running, climbing, mountain biking ... anything really, even better in good company. Like the idea of self sufficiency and a bit of a greener life when we settle down.

Struggle to stay in one place too long, always planning the next thing.. so much of this little old planet to see. Like to stay and work in new places and get to know a community as oppose to breezing through on the tourist trail.

Music, Movies, and Books

My hubby is the muso really, he plays the guitar and loves stuff like dire straights/ Dave Matthews band/ tommy Immanuel/ Stevie Ray Vaughn...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess the most impressive sounding thing to say would be volunteering in Iraq for 9 months at the peak of ISIS activity. In reality I feel a fraud claiming this as an ‘amazing’ thing to do... if anything it was a privilege to work amongst such genuine and welcoming people.
