I work part-time in a bureau de change, and I also study part-time with the Open University. I love nature and my hobby is Geocaching. It has taken me to some fantastic places!
I often travel with my wonderful boyfriend Georg, whose profile you can find here: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/georgwittmann
When I was 20, I moved from London to Vienna for a year, as part of my university course. This was an amazing experience for me, with huge highs and lows, but overall very positive. It has definitely changed who I am!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have surfed in lots of different places and met lots of amazing people. I haven't hosted very much because I now live with my parents and have nowhere for anyone to stay. Once I get my own place, I hope to be a good host!
Most of my interests are based on the fact that I love nature. I enjoy going for walks to visit even the smallest of green places, and I also love to Geocache. If you don't know what Geocaching is, I would be more than happy to show you!
I am vegan and am very interested in animal rights issues, as well as trying out delicious new vegan recipes. I love cooking and eating!
I also really enjoy swimming, spending time with my family and reading.
Music, Movies, and Books
I have a very eclectic taste in music, and I play the cello. The only kinds of music that I don't really listen to are black metal, reggae and rap. That's not to say that I don't like them though!
When it comes to books, I love fantasy, as well as things set in the Middle Ages. My favourite author (at the moment) is Robin Hobb.
I don't watch many films, as they are a bit too long for my attention span; I much prefer series. I really like British comedies such as Monty Python, The Mighty Boosh, Black Books, Spaced and Greenwing, as well as some American series such as Pretty Little Liars, Once Upon A Time and Adventure Time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visiting the Grüner See in Styria, Austria! We took a car share very early in the morning, walked a long way, hitch hiked (my first time) and then walked some more. It was so beautiful, I will never forget it!
Teach, Learn, Share
I will share anything I can! That could be cooking, English language, literature or culture, German language, music etc. Just ask!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a respectful, polite guest and I always try to bring something with me for my host. I am more than happy to cook, and I always clean up after myself!
