Hello! My name is Sarah and I'm originally from England but have been living in Vienna since 2017. I work as a kindergarten teacher, and I'm out of the house Monday-Friday 7:00-16:30, so I only have time to hang out in the evening and weekends.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I have surfed in a few different places (Edinburgh, Rio de Janeiro/Niteroi, Brighton, Budapest, Bratislava, Krakow...) and met lots of amazing people. I think it's an amazing way to get an authentic experience of a new place, and of course, make new friends all over the world. It also offers people who have less money the opportunity to travel, making it a less 'elite' activity.

Intereses

I used to be a very scared and anxious person but changed a lot over the past couple of years. Now, I really like trying new things and pushing my comfort zone. I love doing sports and exercise, like jogging, swimming, yoga and dancing. Spending time outside in green places, preferably with some water nearby, is also really important to me. I enjoy cooking and baking, and trying out new recipes. I love tattoos and have quite a few. Music also plays a big role in my life.

Música, películas y libros

Music: I have a pretty eclectic taste in music (I can show you my Spotify playlists!), and I can play the cello. I like classical music, and I enjoy going to the opera and classical concerts.

Books: I like a lot of things, especially fantasy like Robin Hobb, sci-fi like Douglas Adams, as well as comedians writing about their lives (Miranda Hart, Jo Brand, Sarah Millican) and trashy novels as escapism! I am reading the Walking Dead graphic novels and I love it!

Film and TV: I like British comedy series like Green Wing, Spaced and Black Books. I enjoy films that make me laugh, have nice colours and good music, and I especially like it if I recognise members of the cast for some reason.

I'm a pretty flexible person and I rarely really dislike anything :)

Algo increíble que he hecho

Visiting the Grüner See in Styria, Austria. We took a car share very early in the morning, walked a long way, hitch hiked (my first time) and then walked some more. It was so beautiful, I will never forget it!
