About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Obtaining a PhD in molecular biology.
Always: getting to know places, cities, people, opinions etc. all over the world.

ABOUT ME

Ultimate players and swing dancers very welcome!
Others will have to try and convince me that we will have a good time.
Unpersonalized request will be answered with No, without explication or not at all.
(This still stems from my time in Vienna, but is still true nonetheless ;) )

I'm a very curious person, who wants to see or rather experience quite "everything", so couch surfing seemed to me like the perfect little tool to meet other people, to make friends all over the world, to exchange opinions, have fun.. in one word, just have a great deal of time!!
I don't know a whole lot about a whole lot, but I love to hear about new stuff/learn/experience/try!!!

Apart from that i'm very interested in life, how it could probably happen, that it really exists, that evolution led to every creature that lives on this planet and how we developed out of a single cell... that's why I studied and am still studying molecular cell biology.

I love nature with all its fascinating landscapes and different looks. Part of the reason for this is that in the little village, where i'm originally from, I just grew up in plain nature with fields, cows, horses and wood, AND a very beautiful lake near the house!!
I am a cat person, that's for sure, but dogs can be quite cute too :D

Now having lived in Vienna for almost 10 years, I decided to leabe this love of my life for a couple of years to live in Germany. ButI miss Vienna. So much!! This city is just great in so many ways.
However, Göttingen has its nice corners (and bars ;) )too and I can show you those.

I am not cool, but cool enough ;) and I am very creative when it comes to solving problems (not otherwise creative) and I am never bored, I can just come up with whatever and my list of hobbies is endless...

A big one amongst those is playing ultimate frisbee and dancing swing/lindy hop! So if you are into any of those we are probably a real fit :) I do enjoy reading a really good book, i am not reading so much anymore compared to when i still had time (from Ovid over Austrian contemporary up to normal fiction etc.)

Why i like french films and book so much is, cause i've spent five months living as an exchange student near Toulouse while I was at highschool.
I also spent a semester at Yale University.

PHILOSOPHY

let the things come as they come...
but life is short, so make the most of it!
Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Cause it is awesome, obviously?!
Well, I feel like it's not so much what it was in the beginning anymore, but what can you do, the times they are a changing...

Interests

when i come to a city i've never been to before, i want to see some typical tourist shit and enjoy the cultural offer (theater, cinema, concerts etc) and, for sure, i want to see the city by night!
but naturally i am always looking for the studenty underground/subculture stuff, like bike kitchens, pay-as-you-wish restaurants, flashmobs and stuff. aaand for ultimate frisbee pickup games and lindy hop socials.
what i really love to do is discovering a city by bike, even my hometown Vienna, so if you have a bike to lend, like i have for my CSs, that would be great :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Austrian films and the comedian Josef Hader is a gem

i can teach you how to knit
i can cook traditional Austrian stuff (both Vegetarian and not)
i can show you the basics of swing and ballroom dancing
i can show you how to throw a flick with an ultimate frisbee disk
